LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We would like to acknowledge that two of our members live on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of the Musqueam people, the St. Lawrence Iroquoians, the Mohawk, and the Haudenosaunee. We recognize our role as settlers and how that impacts the Indigenous peoples who live on these lands (and elsewhere around the world) today.
We encourage everyone who lives on unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of Indigenous peoples to critically think about the land that they occupy, and the food, and water that they use. To find out the traditional keepers of the land to which you are on, please check out the Native Land map.
Much of this page draws upon the territorial acknowledgment and resources written by Concordia University's Indigenous Directions Leadership Group (2017). To read and learn more, please visit their website.
